my new invention

I dreamt of a new invention last night which was a feather duster vacuum. It kinda looked like a dust devil only with a peacock feather duster attached to the end of it. It was so pretty that it inspired me to clean my cave.  I then dreamt that Snoop Dogg came to my house and he was a lazy ass. He didn't help clean. All he did was kick back on the couch and smoke the weed.

Bad Dogg!

a whiff of the tard

so. . .talk about a whiff of the 'tard. . .what kind of a network administrator knows so little about network security so as to allow other "admins" the access to confidential files, like offer letters. Not one that I know of, that's for sure. So I wasn't able to stumble accross another programmer's offer letter or anything. And I wasn't able to see someone's written warning or anything.

What a 'tard.

you know. . .I haven't had a good political rant in awhile

hey! Look what's going on in Florida. More government intervention in personal healthcare issues!!! YAY!!!

Fla. Agency Gets Teen's Abortion Blocked

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The state's social services agency was granted a court order to block an abortion for a pregnant 13-year-old girl living in a state shelter, prompting an emergency appeal Wednesday by the American Civil Liberties Union.

My fellow bloggers over on the The Black Saint had some extremely cogent points about the whole issue which I will quote here:

Boba France: Before Roe vs. Wade, abortion was a criminal act unless delivering the baby would kill the pregnant woman. Abortion was legalized to extend protection of women's rights against contraception failure and unpreparedness for motherhood. It's physically cruel to subject a 13-year-old's body to pregnancy (let alone the behavior that caused her condition). Her pelvis hasn't stopped growing yet.

Medical care should be between a patient and their doctor — not determined by non-medical personnel. Can you imagine if you made an appointment to have your tonsils removed and a group of strangers blocked the procedure? Sure, the Christians are the majority now, but what if the Christian Scientists (or some other group) came into power and believed all sickness could be healed with prayer?

Don't tread on me.

Thank you Boba France for saying that. Hear hear. And BushCo.--you and your minions of evil need to get the fuck outta my backyard. oh when can I become an ex-pat?

again I am blank

all creativity is lost. I am looking for rejujunation.  I need some good juju magix.  Hopefully it will replenish in the jungle.  Hopefully I will not see any spiders or snakes. Or bats like I saw the last time. They swooped at my head. It was scary.

I found out they have blogging machines at the hotel. I will tell all y'all if I end up swimming with Flipper. I am practicing my dolphin communicating right now.

The case for the empire

Here is a good political dissertation on why the Empire is NOT as evil as Lucas would lead you to believe.

Yeah it was written three years ago but I think the argument still stands.

when I was going off about the future of RSS feeds??

Well guess who's "turning their attention to RSS feeds"?  That would be Google, the search engine with the highest market share.

argh. Here's the article. Google Turns Attention to RSS

feh. someday I will work somewhere where my ideas are acknowledged.

today is the day

where I slay one of my enemies. he's mostly my friend but he's working my last nerve.

on a lighter note, Cole's website is nearly through stage one. He and Katherine are uploading content now.  The home page still needs to be worked to get rid of the faux latin and the pic of Mr. Mustard. You can go check it out and see what he thought of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.  If you want to see Mr Mustard you have to go to http://filmcritic1963.typepad.com/home/.

what I really might do in Mexico

I want to go to one of these places while I am down there.

Go to Xcaret and swim with dolphins.

or go swimming in a scary underground river.

or go to the jungle-y mayan ruins of chichen itza.

or just lay in a hammock

and stare at this.
